Mookaite is a gemstone and type of Jasper that's found in Western Australia. Mookaite is a sedimentary rock formed from the microscopic remains of radiolarians, tiny organisms that absorbed iron-rich minerals and silica from the sea and underground vents and springs. Mookaite is found in the Kennedy Ranges near Mooka Creek, on Mooka Station. The name "Mooka" comes from the Indigenous term for "running waters", which refers to the many springs in the area. Mookaite is believed to enrich one's trust and love for Mother Earth and all her beauty.
