• Typically the 6" copper lap - plated are used for pre-polishing gemstones.

Do I run the copper lap - plated dry?

• No, you can't. You must run the copper lap - plated wet. Either using water or oil to prevent from overheating, damaging the lap, and failing to polish properly.

What happens if I do run the copper lap - plated dry?

• It will cause it to wear out a lot quicker, along with it causing overheating issues.
