The Difference Between Red and Green Dopping Wax.
Red
- Red dopping wax has a higher melting point (around 70 degrees or 150 fahrenheit). Also a general-purpose wax for a variety of stones.
Green
- Green dopping wax has a lower melting point. (around 65 degrees or 150 fahrenheit). Green dopping wax is best suited for sensitive stones, for example turquoise and opals.

You can dop your stones onto a dop stick and even mark out your slabs for cabochons!
