Lepidolite (Purple)
The name Lepidolite comes from the Greek work 'lepidos', which means 'scale'. It was originally called "lilalite" because of its lavender colour. Lepidolite can be lilac-grey, rose-coloured, pink, light purple, purple, rose-red, violet-grey, yellowish, white, or colourless. The lavender, pink or purple hues are due manganese impurities in the crystal structure. Lepidolite is also often referred to as the 'Peace Stone' or 'Grandmother Stone'. It is known for its ability to bring tranquillity and balance, especially during times of transition and change.
