What can I cut using the opal (thin) saw blade?

• The opal (thin) saw blade is only suitable for opal and sapphire.
• Please be aware, that it is NOT suitable for boulder opal.
• If you try and cut anything other than a 'soft' material, it may warp your saw blade.

Do I use oil or water when using the sintered saw blade?

• Most blades will perform better when oil is used. However, they are suited to also be used with water.

Do I need to clean my sintered saw blade?

• Typically no. However, if you are cutting with water you must dry your saw blade after each use. Otherwise, you ran the risk of the saw blade getting rusty.

How big is the arbor?

• The 6", 7" and 8" opal (thin) saw blades all have a 25mm (2.5cm) arbor.
• The 4" opal (thin) saw blades all have a 20mm (2cm)  arbor.

What if the arbor size is to big?

• if you get a 1" arbor size but need a smaller arbor size, we sell 'saw blade bushes' to make your arbor smaller.
• Saw blade bushes can be purchased separately through our website.
