What kind of materials can I use with the felt pad?

• Felt polishing pads are the perfect option for polishing opals, glass and general gems and stones.

Do I need a polishing compound when using the felt pad?

• Yes you do, the felt pad needs to be paired with a polishing compound.
• Some options include: cerium oxide, tin oxide, aluminium oxide, diamond paste, diamond dust or diamond spray.

Can I use more than one type of polishing compound on the felt pad?

• No you can not. You can only ever use one type of polishing compound per felt pad.

How to do I use the felt pad?

• If using any of the oxide powders, add a little bit of water to a little bit of powder and smear a small amount onto the pad. Be sure not to over-saturate the pad with the compound. Use a water spray bottle to damp the pad but not wet it.

Does the felt pad have a center hole?

• This pad does not have a center hole and is full faced.

How thick is the felt pad?

• Felt is approx 8mm thick.
